PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for stably holding immersion liquid on an objective lens.;SOLUTION: An object lens 5, which is an immersion objective lens, includes a leading-end 5a and a body 5b. The sides of the leading end 5a include, at different positions in the direction of an optical axis AX, a side 6 and side 3 different from each other in an angle to a leading-end flat surface 2.
