PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for directly measuring the behavior of bulging in continuous casting of a casting slab.;SOLUTION: An unsupported section 3 where a roll for supporting a cast slab is provided between a guide roll section 1 for guiding the cast slab 9 immediately after pulled out from a cast 7 and a pinch roll section 2 for pulling a solidified cast slab, and a bulging measurement machine 4 equipped with a laser displacement meter having a cut-off filter is provided on the support section. Thus, more accurate bulging measurement is executed while removing the influence of noise due to radiation heat from the surface of the cast slab having a high temperature of 1,000C.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
