PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent uncomfortable rapid change of deceleration even if regenerative braking is canceled, which compensates for a response delay in frictional braking in an early phase of braking.;SOLUTION: From the time t1 when a master cylinder pressure is started to be generated, a target braking torque Ttotal rises as shown in the figure in response to stepping of a brake pedal. From the time t1 to the time t2 until the master cylinder pressure becomes a set value, it is preferable that the target braking torque Ttotal is compensated by a possible maximum regenerative braking torque to achieve tTm=tTotal, however, a limited early regenerative braking torque is set to the target regenerative braking torque tTm, to achieve the target braking torque tTotal together with a total frictional braking torque tTb that compensates for a shortfall.
