PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonpolar-polar olefin copolymer exhibiting excellent properties; and to provide a method for producing the same under a mild polymerization condition and at a high efficiency.;SOLUTION: The production method of a nonpolar-polar olefin copolymer includes copolymerizing a nonpolar olefin and a polar olefin in the presence of a catalyst for olefin polymerization comprising a transition metal compound (A) represented by formula (I), and at least one compound (B) selected from the group consisting of organometal compounds, organoaluminumoxy compounds, and compounds to react with the transition metal compound (A) to form an ion pair.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
