PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a zirconium trisilicate compound, particularly a zirconium trisilicate compound having a wadeite crystal structure, and a zirconium trisilicate compound obtained by the method.;SOLUTION: The method for producing a zirconium trisilicate compound includes (a) a step of preparing an aqueous solution by deflocculating and dissolving zirconium oxide hydrate in the presence of an alkali metal hydroxide and hydrogen peroxide, (b) a step of mixing the aqueous solution and a silicic acid liquid, (c) a step of hydrothermally treating the mixed liquid, (d) a step of drying the resulting solid, and (e) a step of firing the dried solid.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
