PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reactive power adjustment technique of a distribution line capable of reducing the reactive power of the entire distribution line by grasping the reactive power requirements of the distribution line and performing phase modification control for a low-voltage load apparatus connected to the end of the distribution line.SOLUTION: A reactive power adjustment system of a distribution line comprises: measuring means which is installed in the distribution line to calculate a reactive power and a power factor; power factor adjusting means which is provided in each of a plurality of low-voltage load apparatuses connected to the end of a low-voltage distribution line on the load side via each of the distribution transformers disposed in the distribution line; a control device which issues a control command signal when the reactive power periodically calculated based on the measuring results of the measuring means is out of a predetermined range; and communication means which enables signal exchange between the measuring means, each of the power factor adjusting means, and the control device. The reactive power adjustment system and the adjustment method using the same sequentially perform phase modification control to consume and reduce the reactive power of the distribution line when each of the power factor adjusting means which received an input of the control command signal operates for each of the distribution transformers.
