PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of determining an installation position and an adjustment amount of a reactive power adjustment device which determines an installation position of a reactive power adjustment device for adjusting reactive power of a three-phase distribution line, and an adjustment amount of reactive power to be adjusted by the reactive power adjustment device.SOLUTION: A method of determining an installation position and an adjustment amount of a reactive power adjustment device includes: a first step of calculating a first reactive power adjustment amount of a first position so that a value of a voltage unbalance rate of the first position of a three-phase distribution line becomes equal to or less than a first value; a second step of calculating a first voltage unbalance rate from the upstream side of the three-phase distribution line to the downstream side; a third step of calculating a second reactive power adjustment amount of a second position so that a value of a voltage unbalance rate of a second position of the three-phase distribution line becomes equal to or less than a second value; a fourth step of calculating a second voltage unbalance rate from the upstream side of the three-phase distribution line to the downstream side; a fifth step of determining the installation position on the basis of the calculation results of the second and fourth steps; and a sixth step of determining the adjustment amount on the basis of the calculation results of the first and third steps and the determination result of the fifth step.
