PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a specific Josephson junction element which can achieve specific Josephson junction effect in an iron arsenic superconductor.;SOLUTION: A specific Josephson junction element 1, composed of single crystals of an iron arsenic superconductor having a crystal structure of a superconducting layer 2 and an insulation layer 3 laminated in the c-axis direction, comprises: a first electrode part 10 and a second electrode part 20 which are positioned separately in an optional direction along the ab plane orthogonal to the c-axis direction; a bridge part 30 which connects the first electrode part 10 and the second electrode part 20. The bridge part 30 has a Josephson electrical current circulation part 33 sandwiched by a first slit 31 and a second slit 32 in the direction along the ab plane orthogonal to the c-axis direction.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
