PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide high purity stannous oxide in which the α-ray quantity of tin is reduced; to provide a powder of the same; and to provide a method for producing the stannous oxide.;SOLUTION: The high purity stannous oxide is characterized in that α-ray dose is ≤0.01 cph/cm² and the purity except stannic oxide (SnO₂) is ≥99.999%. The method for producing the stannous oxide is characterized by using a raw material Sn as an anode, electrolyzing by using, as an electrolyte, an electrolyte obtained by adding a component forming a complex with monovalent Sn, and then obtaining stannous oxide by neutralizing.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
