Identification method of genotype or serotype by phylogenetic analysis of human rhinovirus

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rapid and simple method for identifying the serotype or genotype of a human rhinovirus.;SOLUTION: This gene lineage analysis is carried out on the basis of a base sequence of a VP4 region of the human rhinovirus to identify the serotype or genotype of the human rhinovirus. An RNA is especially extracted from a sample to provide a cDNA from the extracted RNA. A viral gene containing the VP4 region is amplified from the obtained cDNA by PCR and a base sequence of the VP4 region can be obtained to rapidly and simply identify the serotype or genotype of the human rhinovirus in the sample.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
