PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spherical silica-based mesoporous body suitably usable as a metal ligand and a dielectric material and to provide its manufacturing method suitably used when a spherical silica-based mesoporous body modified with an organic functional group containing a cyano group and containing a carboxy group is manufactured and also to provide the spherical silica-based mesoporous body modified with the organic functional group containing the carboxy group and exhibiting a high adsorption property to a basic dyestuff, a protein, a metal or the like and to provide its manufacturing method.;SOLUTION: In the spherical silica-based mesoporous body having an average particle diameter of 0.01-3 μm and radial pores having a central pore diameter of ≥1 nm, the spherical silica-based mesoporous body is modified with the organic functional group containing the cyano group or the carboxy group.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
