PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure strict security with respect to information on a document scanned by an MFP.SOLUTION: An image processing device comprises: generating means which scans a document to generate a document image; decoding means which decodes a two-dimensional code of the document image generated by the generating means to obtain source information; judging means which judges whether the source information obtained by the decoding means includes a password; converting means which converts, when judged by the judging means that the source information includes the password, the document image generated by the generating means to an electronic file with the password attached thereto; the converting means which converts, when judged by the judging means that the source information does not include the password, the document image generated by the generating means to an electronic file without the attached password; and transmitting means which transmits the file obtained by the conversion by the converting means.
