PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a π electron conjugated compound containing a benzene ring, a method for producing a thin film thereof and an application of the thin film to an organic electronic device.;SOLUTION: The method for producing a film-like product of a π electron conjugated compound of A-(C)m includes coating a substrate with a coating liquid of a solvent containing a π conjugated compound precursor A-(B)m to form a coated film, from which leaving-substituents of formulas (IIa) and (IIb) (wherein A is a π conjugated substituent; B is a substituent having a structure of formula (I) as a partial structure; m is a natural number with the proviso that in formula (I), B is coupled to an arbitrary atom on A except carbon atoms of substitution positions of (X₁, X₂) and (Y₁, Y₂) through a covalent bond or condensed with an arbitrary carbon atom except carbon atoms of substitution positions of (X₁, X₂) and (Y₁, Y₂) on A to form a condensed ring; C has a structure of formula (II) as a partial structure) are removed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
