PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new technique for efficiently detoxifying dioxins contained in contaminated soil. PSOLUTION: Dioxins contained in contaminated soil are detoxified efficiently by crushing/pulverizing the contaminated soil in advance before the soil contaminated with dioxins is heated in an oxygen-containing gas. A treatment step of crushing the contaminated soil and a treatment step of heating the crushed contaminated soil in the oxygen-containing gas are combined in each of a method, an apparatus and a system for detoxifying dioxins contained in the contaminated soil.
