PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material for reducing cadmium which contains the predetermined amount of iron, and is used by foliar spraying to gramineous plants, and to provide a method for reducing cadmium contained in seeds of the gramineous plant using the same.SOLUTION: The material for reducing cadmium is water solution in which iron source and organic acid are dissolved, and the iron concentration contained in the water solution is not less than 20 ppm, and is used by foliar spraying to gramineous plants. The method for reducing cadmium sprays the material for reducing cadmium to leaf areas of the gramineous plants after a flag leaf appears, and reduces cadmium contained in seeds of the gramineous plants.
