PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a catalyst for hydrogenating and purifying diesel oil capable of enhancing its cetane number and of preventing it from becoming lighter upon hydrogenating/purifying diesel oil.;SOLUTION: The method of producing a catalyst for hydrogenating and purifying diesel oil includes a process of mixing primary particles of silica/titania with an alumina precursor to obtain an oxide gel, a process of heating the oxide gel to obtain a material for forming a support, a process of casting the material for forming a support to obtain a molded article, a process of calcining the molded article to obtain a support, and a process of simultaneously depositing nickel and tungsten onto the support.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
