PURPOSE: To obtain catalyst compsn. having high hydrogenation-refining activity with which the sulfur content can be decreased without decreasing the yield of light oil in the hydrogenation refining of light oil fraction by depositing specified proportions of specified metal elements and phosphours on a specified carrier. ;CONSTITUTION: The hydrogenation refining catalyst compsn. for hydrocarbon oil consists of a specified carrier and specified proportions of specified metal elements and phosphours deposited on the carrier. Namely, the carrier consists of 1-8wt.% zeolite and 92-99wt.% alumina and has 24.35-2.40Å lattice const. At least each one kind of element selected from IVB group and VIII group of the periodical table is deposited by 5-20wt.% and 1-10wt.%, respectively, to the catalyst compsn., and 0.1-8wt.% phosphorus to the catalyst compsn. is deposited on the carrier. This hydrogenation refining catalyst compsn. is used for the hydrogenation refining of the hydrocarbon oil and desulfurization of the light oil fraction.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
