PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a road-vehicle communication system that provides high-accuracy vehicle position information by suppressing reduction in accuracy of specifying the position of a vehicle in an uplink area divided into a plurality of division areas.;SOLUTION: The road-vehicle communication system includes: a plurality of light reception parts provided in a light projection/reception device such that the light projection/reception device can receive up-link light for the plurality of division areas obtained by dividing the up-link area in a vehicle traveling direction; a decision part deciding whether or not each light reception part receives the up-link light based on a predetermined threshold value; and a position specification part specifying a transmission position of the up-link light of an in-vehicle unit based on a decision result of the decision part. The threshold value is set in each of the plurality of the light reception parts, and the threshold value is set smaller as the position of the division area corresponding to the reception part wherein the threshold value is set is apart from the position of the light projection/reception device.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
