PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a copulation behavior-disruption agent for sap-sucking pests which are considered to be the principal pests in a rice cultivation area.SOLUTION: Applying flonicamid to sap-sucking pests in a rice cultivation area disrupts the copulatory behavior thereof, effecting stable, effective pest control over the long term. The application produces a completely unpredicted effect, being distinctly different from the simple pesticidal use of flonicamid and disrupting copulation behavior of pests. This invention relates to the copulation behavior-disruption agent for sap-sucking rice parasites, containing flonicamid as an active ingredient; and relates to a method, in which the copulation behavior-disruption agent is processed, for disrupting the copulatory behavior of the pests.
