PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately determine whether to divide document image data of a scanned spread document by certainly recognizing whether the document is a two-page document in which images are independently printed on spread two pages or a one-page document in which an image is printed over two pages.;SOLUTION: A document creation device comprises: a division target region data extraction unit 54 for extracting data in a division target region from each of document image data of all pages of spread documents; a reference data creation unit 55 for creating reference data in the division target region based on the extracted data of all the pages in the division target region; a division determination unit 56 for determining that the division is not allowed if the difference between the reference data and the data in the division target region is greater than a preset determination threshold, and determining that the division is allowed if the difference is smaller than the determination threshold; and an image division processing unit 57 for printing the document image data without division if the determination result indicates that the division is not allowed, and dividing and printing the document image data if the determination result indicates that the division is allowed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
