PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyurethane foam and a mattress that are manufactured simply, environment-friendly, and furthermore provide a user with a comfortable bed.SOLUTION: The polyurethane foam for a mattress is obtained by performing foaming and reaction of a raw material consisting of a polyol component, polyisocyanate component, and a foaming agent, wherein the polyol component comprises castor oil (a1) and a polyol (a2), that is a polyether polyol whose average functional group number is 2.5-4.5 and hydroxyl value is 40-60 mgKOH/g and/or a polymer polyol whose average functional group number is 2.5-4.0 and hydroxyl value is 25-50 mgKOH/g, and a content of the caster oil (a1) against the total polyol components is 25-75 wt.% and that of the polyol (a2) against the total polyol components is 25-75 wt.%, and the mattress comprises the polyurethane foam.
