The device has a housing (11) and a contact element. A section (111) of the contact element sits in a receiving opening of the housing and other section (112) projects in a receiving channel of the housing. The section is formed for receiving a longitudinally extending electrical conductor, and the other section of the contact element is formed to contact the electrical conductor. A part of the housing and a part of the contacted electrical conductor is surrounded by a common sleeve that is made of non-conductive material forming a uniform interconnection. An independent claim is also included for an electrical connecting producing device method, which involves arranging an electrical conductor in the receiving channel and contacting the electrical conductor.
