PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tonic or a stimulant containing a fleshy stem of Cistanche tubulosa (Shrenk)R. Wight or an extracted solution or an extract obtained by extracting the fleshy stem with water, a lower aliphatic alcohol or a hydrous compound thereof as an active ingredient, glycoside compounds present in the extracted solution or the extract, and the use thereof.;SOLUTION: The tonic or stimulant contains a fleshy stem of Cistanche tubulosa (Shrenk)R. Wight or an extracted solution or an extract obtained by extracting the fleshy stem with water, a lower aliphatic alcohol or a hydrous compound thereof as an active ingredient.
