PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a starting circuit capable of reducing power consumption, a method and a low-voltage malfunction preventive circuit using the same, a power supply circuit, and electronic equipment.;SOLUTION: The starting circuit 16 receives a start signal PWR_ON instructing the start of the equipment on which this circuit is mounted and, when the starting signal PWR_ON instructs the start, executes a prescribed sequence. An oscillator 50 generates a clock signal CK. A sequence circuit 52 receives the start signal PWR_ON and the clock signal CK output from the oscillator 50, and when the start signal PWR_ON is transited to a prescribed level, measures time by counting the clock signal CK to execute a prescribed event at a prescribed timing. As long as the start signal PWR_ON is at the prescribed level while the power supply key of the equipment on which the circuit is mounted is pressed, the oscillator 50 operates while the start signal PWR_ON is at the prescribed level.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
