PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dropping mechanism designed to eliminate overlapping of bread dough when the bread dough is charged into a baking case and to provide a panning apparatus equipped with the dropping mechanism.;SOLUTION: The dropping mechanism for the panning apparatus is equipped with rotating plates having one side secured to each rotating supporting shaft, a driving system for normally and reversibly rotating the rotating supporting shafts and a controlling part performing control thereof. The panning apparatus transfers the bread dough to the baking case transported to a downward position thereof. The controlling part keeps the rotating plates in a horizontal posture when the bread dough discharged from the end of a dough transportation conveyor is received and keeps the rotating plates in a vertical posture when the received bread dough is transferred to the baking case.
