PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a 3D shape data preparing method, a 3D shape data preparing device and a 3D shape data preparing program that can prepare 3D shape data reflecting the intention and image of the designer or the like.SOLUTION: Feature points and feature axes in a sketch image drawn by a designer or the like are associated with prescribed points and prescribed axes on a vehicle specification box, the arranged positions and the viewpoint direction in a 3D space of the sketch where the association errors of these combinations (point-to-point, axis-to-axis and point-to-axis) are minimized are determined (step S140), section lines of any selected region depicted in the sketch are generated with basic lines and fillet joining lines to collectively create complex faces of the selected region in the 3D space (step S150), and the created complex faces of the selected region are joined by creating fillet joining faces (step S160).
