HYDROPONIC METHOD FOR GROWING LETTUCE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a sufficient yield targeting lettuce as a typical hydroponic crop, while largely reducing nutrients necessary for the hydroponics.;SOLUTION: In a method for growing lettuce (Lactuca sativa) using a culture solution, the hydroponics is performed by adjusting concentration where the underdevelopment of lettuce can be generated by diluting the culture solution by water and adjusting phosphorus concentration and potassium concentration in the culture solution at least either timing of before the start, or during growing the lettuce so that the hydroponics is performed by maintaining the phosphorus concentration and the potassium concentration of the culture solution during growing more than the concentration which can avoid the underdevelopment of lettuce.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
