PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder for cleaning an automobile exhaust gas having high oxidation activity even at a low temperature area (for example, 30-200C). PSOLUTION: In the powder for cleaning the automobile exhaust gas, the powder includes an oxide fine crystal particle, the front surface includes an active crystal surface constituted by an oxygen ion layer, and the oxide fine crystal particle in which a crystal surface constituting the front surface of the particle forms a rhombic cube octahedron or a false rhombic cube octahedron occupies 50 mass% or higher.
