PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas meter or a remote-sensing display, capable of both telegraphic communication and general-purpose serial communication using a common connector.;SOLUTION: The remote-sensing display 1 of the gas meter includes: a telegraphic communication interface 7, having a telegraphic communication port DT for receiving the meter data of the gas meter through 5-bit telegraphic communication; an RS-232 C communication interface 8, having an information sending port Tx and an information receiving port Rx and adapted for making communication to the outside; a jack 9, having a sending terminal 93 and a receiving terminal 92 connected to the information receiving port Rx; a selector switch 10 for selectively connecting the sending terminal 93 to the telegraphic communication port DT and the information sending port Tx; and a CPU 2 which controls the selector switch 9 for switching.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
