PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photocatalytic functional body for purification of gas consisting of photocatalyst particles such as titanium oxide deposited on glass fibers, a method for manufacturing the photocatalyst and a method for purifying gas by using the above photocatalyst functional body. SOLUTION: The powder of the photocatalyst is deposited on glass fibers in the presence of 1.0 to 20 wt.% of water to the whole amount.
