PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for adding a wetting liquid by which the sticking of the metallic sheet to a die is prevented after press working, which requires a small quantity of the wetting liquid and by which the surroundings of the press are hardly soiled by the wetting liquid.;SOLUTION: An elastic body 8, impregnated with the wetting liquid, is installed in adjacent to a press die, which is composed of the first die with a die hole, and the second die which is brought into contact with and separated from the first die and has a punch pulled out and put into the die hole with contact and separation. A transferring means for transferring the metallic sheet 1 between the first die and the second die through the elastic body 8 is provided.
