PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for estimating operation time of a power switch device that does not require a complicated set-up compared with that of a conventional technique, and to provide a method therefor.;SOLUTION: The apparatus for estimating the operation time of a power switch device comprises: an operation time estimation unit 13 for estimating the operation time of a circuit breaker 1 based on a switch command 21 and a main circuit current signal 8 or an operation process signal 9; an operation characteristic parameter estimation unit 15 for estimating an operation characteristic parameter of the circuit breaker 1 from each environmental condition during the operation of the circuit breaker 1 and a history of measured values of the operation time; and an operation time estimation unit 17 for estimating subsequent operation time from the estimated characteristic parameter and a current environmental condition.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
