Apparatus for parallel execution of media encoding using a (Single Instruction Mutiple Data) processing SIMD, systems, methods and objects are described. The apparatus comprises a media processing node performing SIMD processing of macroblock data. Macroblock data includes coefficients of blocks of the macroblock. Media processing node has an encoding module for generating a plurality of flag data relating to a plurality of blocks from the macroblock data and determining run values ​​for multiple blocks in parallel from the flag words.
