PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for the loading of a green tire into a two-part tire mold so as to cause a minimal interference between the inside portions of the mold's inner periphery and the outer periphery a green tire being loaded in the mold.;SOLUTION: A tire mold 30 having an upper portion 32 and a lower portion 34 comprises a central opening 36 which is provided with a clearance for inserting a large green tire especially for an industrial vehicle and an off-road vehicle and can be spread. A plurality of segments 42 and 43 circumferentially arranged for forming a tread member of a tire can be moved to a radial direction so that the diameter of each of members 32 and 34 may become large during the loading operation of the green tire. Thus in the internal peripheral region of the upper portion 32 and of the lower portion 34, the diameter of the region becomes large when the tire mold 30 opens and the diameter of the region becomes small when the tire mold 30 closes.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
