PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an explosion-proof filter and a dust collector capable of safely realizing back washing operation which avoids the increase of pressure loss by accumulation of dust while being devised so as not to cause propagation of catching fire to and, heating of, fine dust which makes the start of ignition and so as not to lead to dust explosion. PSOLUTION: Dust is collected in the inside of a filter medium 2 by installing the explosion-proof filter 1 which is formed by arranging a porous metal body 5 having three-dimensional pore parts 5A in the inside of the filter medium 2 in the inside of an explosion-proof dust collector 10 and by circulating the air containing dust from the inside of the filter medium 2 toward the outside by the suction force of a blower 20.
