PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide overhead power lines and a construction method of the surroundings of an iron tower excellent in lighter work, and simplification in construction, and at low costs.;SOLUTION: In the overhead power lines that an iron tower side end of the overhead power line 31 arranged on both sides of the iron tower 11 is supported by the iron tower 11, respectively via an insulator 30, it includes: a support unit 50 which connects an interval between the insulator 30 and the overhead power line 31 at a position separated from the iron tower 11, supports the overhead power line 31 on the side of being separated from the iron tower 11 than the part at a tension state, and has a temporary insulator 17; and a jumper unit 60 having a cable 4 with metal insulation which is arranged on both sides of the iron tower 11, supported at the tension state, respectively, by the support unit 50, and electrically connects the interval of the overhead power line 31 at a state that stage peeling work is performed to its terminal connection part 25.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
