PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stepped core die in which the crack in a corner part is hard to occur, even when the radius of curvature in the corner part between a stepped part and the succeeding side face part is reduced, in the compacting of a cylindrical member where an inner circumferential side is provided with a projecting part in an axial direction or a hollow part in a radial direction, using the stepped core die.;SOLUTION: Regarding the core die for compacting a cylindrical member in which the inner circumferential side is provided with the projecting part in the axial direction or a level difference or a hollow in the radial direction, at least a part in the outer circumferential face of the core die body is provided with a level difference part projecting to the radial direction, the core die body is split into two parts at the same face as the upper face of the level difference part, and the split faces are mechanically joined or adhered with adhesives to each other.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
