PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a green compact capable of obtaining a green compact having excellent mechanical strength, capable of improving releasability of the green compact from a die and capable of remarkably reducing a load on the die, to provide a method for producing the green compact, to provide the green compact obtainable by using the method for producing the green compact, to provide a method for producing a sintered compact, and to provide an oil impregnated sintered bearing.;SOLUTION: The method for producing a green compact comprises: a stage 1 where raw material powder containing a metallic material, a polyvinyl acetal resin and zinc stearate is prepared; and a stage 2 where the raw material powder is subjected to pressure molding. The polyvinyl acetal resin as an additive having a role of a hole making agent is composed of particles in which the average particle size measured using a particle size distribution meter is ≤100 μm, and also, the ratio of the particles which do not pass through a sieve of 100 meshes is ≤10 wt.%.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
