PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a travel test in the forward/reverse rotation direction at once with a rolling element attached by accurately controlling the straight-line traveling property of a belt when a driving drum rotates in the forward/reverse direction in a travel test device. PSOLUTION: In this road surface straight-line travel control mechanism 1 of the travel test device 2, the end of at least one of both ends of a driven drum 5 is rocked in the fore-and-aft direction in response to the displacement amount of the end detecting means 13 arranged on the flat plane of the wound side to the driven drum 5, out of end detecting means 13 arranged on two flat planes existing between the driving drum 4 and the driven drum 5.
