PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner consumption prediction quantity calculation apparatus capable of exactly recognizing a toner consumption quantity by performing calculation of the toner consumption prediction quantity which is the prediction quantity of the toner consumed by sticking to a latent image carrier with good accuracy, and an image forming apparatus equipped therewith.;SOLUTION: The toner consumption prediction quantity calculation apparatus 30 calculating the prediction quantity of the toner consumed by sticking onto a photoreceptor drum in a developing region, calculates the prediction quantity of the toner consumed by sticking to a latent image section in a latent image section toner consumption prediction quantity calculation section 32, calculates the prediction quantity of the toner consumed by sticking to the non-latent image section in a non-latent image section toner consumption prediction quantity calculation section 33, composites the calculation results of the latent image section toner consumption prediction quantity calculation section 32 and the non-latent image section consumption prediction quantity calculation section 33 in a total toner consumption prediction quantity calculation section 31, and calculates the total toner consumption prediction quantity.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
