PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distributed measurement system and its method capable of acquiring measurement information at the same time without increasing the cost and size of a sensor terminal.;SOLUTION: A server 1 having a reference clock part is connected to a plurality of terminals 2A to 2C having local time clock parts through a network. A measurement start command issue request specifying a certain terminal is transmitted from the server 1 to allow the terminal to transmit a measurement start instruction, and a terminal receiving the instruction is allowed to execute measurement and store a measurement value at the time of receiving the measurement start instruction and the measurement time. The server 1 transmits a measurement information request, collects measurement information including a measurement value and measurement time from each terminal, stores the measurement time at the time of receiving the measurement start instruction, finds out a time error of each terminal based on system reference time from the measurement time of the collected measurement information and the stored measurement time, corrects the collected measurement information of each terminal by the time error found out by the measurement time, and estimates a measurement value at the same required time from relation between the corrected measurement time and the measurement value.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
