PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate an erroneous wind speed value from the received wind speed values, and gather correct wind speed information.;SOLUTION: The wind speed monitoring apparatus comprises: an average value calculation section for calculating a moving average of the wind speed values; a reference value calculation section for calculating a reference value; and a determination section for determining whether the wind speed value of the reference value or more is invalidated. For example, the average value calculation section sequentially calculates the moving average of the wind speed values by using the wind speed values sequentially measured by a wind meter. The reference value calculation section multiplies the moving average by a first determination scale factor more than 1, and calculates the reference value each time the average calculation section calculates the moving average. The determination section invalidates the wind speed value of the reference value or more which does not succeed twice or more. The erroneous wind speed value is eliminated from the received wind speed values, and the correct wind speed information is gathered.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
