Wavefront aberration apparatus according to the present invention may be applied to correct the aberrations of the human eye. In one embodiment, the wavefront aberration device is provided with a lens that forms a pair, and a layer for isolating these lenses together. The isolation layer is formed of a curable resin which comprises a polymerization initiator and monomer. By controlling the degree of cure, the monomer layer provides an adjustable refractive index profile throughout the layer. Hardening of the resin, can be performed by exposure to light such as, for example, ultraviolet light. By controlling the exposure degree, it is possible to obtain the refractive index profile of the desired unique.
