PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for simply and quickly registering terms or new words in a specific field in the Japanese syllabary/Chinese character conversion dictionary of a portable terminal. PSOLUTION: A voice 1A input by a user 1 is received by a voice input part 11 for preparing dictionary data to be registered in a Japanese syllabary/Chinese character conversion dictionary 15 incorporated in a portable terminal 10, and transmitted as voice data 10A for requesting the preparation of dictionary data from a voice data transmission part 12 through a network 30 to a dictionary server 20. The dictionary server 20 voice-recognizes the transmitted voice data 10A by a voice recognizing part 23, and converts the voice data into a text sentence, and a morphemic analyzing part 24 decomposes the text sentence into the Japanese syllabary character string by dictionary registration units, and a dictionary data preparation part 25 prepares dictionary data 20A including at least pertinent Chinese characters and the part of speech information, and returns the dictionary data through the network 30 to the portable terminal 10 at the request origin. A dictionary registration part 14 of the portable terminal 10 registers the received dictionary data 20A in the Japanese syllabary/Chinese character conversion dictionary 15.
