PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation support system for making a vehicle traveling in the periphery of an abnormal vehicle execute a proper driving suitable for the status of the abnormal vehicle. PSOLUTION: The operation support system S is provided with: an abnormal status transmitter T1 which detects the abnormal status of a vehicle M1, and transmits the abnormality information of the vehicle M1 for supporting the driving of the vehicle M2 traveling in the periphery; and a driving support device C1 which supports the driving of the vehicle M, based on the traveling status of the vehicle M2 and the abnormality information of the vehicle M1. The abnormal status transmitter T1 is provided with an abnormal status detection means T100 which detects the abnormal status of the vehicle M1 and an abnormal status transmitting means T101 which transmits the abnormality information. The driving support device C1 is provided with: a traveling status detection means C100 which detects the traveling status of the vehicle M2; an abnormal status receiving means C101 which receives the abnormality information; and a driving support means C102 which supports the driving of the vehicle M2, based on the traveling status and the abnormality information.
