PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treating agent which is capable of forming a coat by the drying thereof on a substrate and by the wiping work after the drying without needing a heating process, and to provide a coat thereof which is excellent in the water repellency, the water sliding property and the durability.;SOLUTION: The treating agent is formed by mixing a straight chain polydimethylsiloxane that has, at the at least one end, two or three of hydrolyzable functional groups and has 30-400 of dimethylsiloxane units [Si(CH₃)₂O]; a fluoroalkylsilane that has a hydrolyzable functional group and has 6-12 of fluorocarbon units (CF₂ or CF₃);and a solution containing at least an organic solvent, an acid and water, with the treating agent being mixed with the above straight chain polydimethylsiloxane of 0.2-3.0 % by weight concentration relative to the total amount of the treating agent, the above fluoroalkylsilane of 0.2-2.0% by weight concentration and the sum total amount of both the above straight chain polydimethylsiloxane and the above fluoroalkylsilane of 0.5-3.5% by weight concentration.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
