PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stress-luminescent material that has a characteristic crystal structure and emits unprecedentedly intense light.;SOLUTION: The stress-luminescent material has a basic structure where at least either one of an alkali metal ion and an alkaline earth metal ion such as a Ca ion is inserted in a space of a matrix structure formed by linkage of a plurality of molecules of SiO4 and AiO4 having a tetrahedron structure with an oxygen atom positioned at vertexes of the tetrahedron held in common and a part of the inserted ions are replaced by at least one metal ion selected from among rare earth metal ions and transition metal ions functioning as a luminescence center.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
