PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize high corrosion resistance in chromium-based monolithic refractories by overcoming the problems of occurrence of cracks and development of the cracks which are considered to be caused by a ZrO2 material and arise in the refractories of a furnace body or the like that is formed by using a raw material composition for the chromium-based monolithic refractories.;SOLUTION: The raw material composition for chromium-based monolithic refractories is obtained by mixing aggregate particles of 20-80%, a particle group composed of intermediate particles having a content of 18-80% and of fine particles, and a mineralizer of 1-5%, wherein the aggregate particles have a particle size in the range of 1-10 mm and a chemical composition substantially composed of Al2O3, Cr2O3, ZrO2 and SiO2, and the particle group has a particle size in the range of 1 mm to ≤10mm, is obtained by mixing a particle having a chemical composition of Cr2O3 and a particle substantially having a chemical composition of ZrO2-SiO2, includes ZrO2-SiO2 particle at a rate of 10% or more, and has a mass ratio of ZrO2-SiO2/Cr2O3 of 0.17-1.26.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
