PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide flux which does not generate an alarm for the hunting or the breakout of the surface of the molten metal in a mold even when the continuous casting of stainless steel containing 0.1% or more of Ti is carried out at a speed of 0.6 m/min or higher. PSOLUTION: The flux for continuous casting of stainless steel containing Ti comprises CaO and SiOSB2/SBwithin the range of CaO/SiOSB2/SB=0.5 to 1.1 by mass% ratio, 5 to 15 mass% of AlSB2/SBOSB3/SB, 6 to 15 mass% of (NaSB2/SBO+LiSB2/SBO), 4 to 12 mass% of F, and 1 to 10 mass% of MgO, has a crystallization temperature of 550 to 750C, and preferably has a viscosity of 0.6 to 3.5 poise at 1,300C.
