Diagnosis of Johne's disease by measuring the expression level of urocortin gene and primers for Johne's disease diagnosis

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for diagnosing Johne's disease in which an animal infected with Johne's disease can rapidly be diagnosed in high sensitivity in initial stage to prior stage of infection before increase of a specific antibody. PSOLUTION: A pair of primer is used for diagnosing Johne's disease and can amplify a base sequence described in sequence No.1 of a sequence table or an area selected from its complementary chain by a quantitative RNA detection method. The method for diagnosing Johne's disease comprises culturing a blood cell collected from a test animal in the presence or absence of antigen of Mycobacterium johnei, measuring expression level of urocortin gene in culture products and determining the measured value in contrast with a standard line of expression level obtained by carrying out measurement after similarly treating a blood cell collected from a normal cow.
